We present the 360° Model Impact Evaluation
4 July, 2023Our WW4W Forum arrives in Medellín for the first time!
25 April, 2024We have been tirelessly working to break the cycles of poverty and transform lives in Colombia. Through our comprehensive 360° model, we have successfully impacted thousands of individuals across the country.
In 2023, there were 68,896 births to teenage mothers in Colombia, representing 16% of the total births in the country. We have reached over 290,000 vulnerable communities, including more than 6,000 teenage mothers, with our model.
Only 30% of young mothers are able to access higher education. However, through our program, 1,972 young women have been certified in technical vocational training, and 621 teenage mothers have secured their first formal jobs in the last three years.
While the unemployment rate for women in Colombia was 11.6% in the last quarter of 2023, teenage mothers enrolled in Juanfe have a 79% higher chance of accessing formal employment compared to those not participating in our program.
As of this year, according to the General Attorney’s Office bulletin 108-2024, 84 alerts for domestic or partner violence have been reported in Colombia. In light of this reality, we work alongside the families of our young women to promote healthy family environments. Thanks to counseling, 18,000 family members have benefited. Additionally, we have created a manual for the prevention of gender-based violence re-victimization.
These figures demonstrate the positive impact and significance of our work in combating poverty and reducing gender gaps in Colombia. Your ongoing commitment to social transformation and women’s empowerment is changing lives and creating a brighter future for all.”
