WHO WE ARE
At the Juanfe Foundation, we know that investing in women is the key to eradicating poverty and advancing gender equality. That is why we invest in physical, mental and emotional health, in education, and in the employability of young mothers in situations of extreme poverty and vulnerability. This way, they are able to develop their personal and professional potential, and have a positive influence on their environment.
So far, we have transformed the reality of more than 290.000 people: we have worked with 4.810 young people in Cartagena and 635 in Medellín, and their children, families and communities, have also benefitted through our intervention programmes. In addition, we have treated 204,063 people, corresponding to 20% of the total population of Cartagena, at our Juan Felipe IPS Medical Centre, and we have saved the lives of 4,449 children under the age of one, through the Crib Sponsoring Program.
